Billings Education Association Awards
Each year BEA members have an opportunity to nominate deserving individuals in two award categories:
- Teacher of the Year
- Friend of Education
Nomination forms for the 2012 BEA Awards are now available. Click here. The nomination deadline is February 29, 2012.
Nominations must be made by BEA members.
The BEA Teacher of the Year is a teacher who:
- has membership in the BEA
- demonstrates excellence in education performance
- actively advocates for children
- is committed to ongoing professional development
- performs community service
The BEA Friend of Education is a person who:
- shows support for education in Billings Public Schools
- actively advocates for children in Billings
- provides service to the educational community in Billings
The awardees will be selected from the nominations by the BEA Awards Committee. The Teacher of the Year receives $500. Both awardees will be honored at the Educator Appreciation Awards Banquet on April 26 at the Crowne Plaza. Tickets will be sold March 28-April 23 by BEA Building Reps at the schools or at the BEA office.
